POINTE DE L'ÎLE, COMMUNITY OF POSSIBILITIES
Through this photographic exhibition, Idylle paints a portrait of the socio-ecological transition of the Pointe de l'Île.
This series of photos is the result of the encounter between artist Alex Côté and the people behind a variety of initiatives carried out, or in progress, in the territories of Pointe-aux-Trembles and Montreal-East.

The project was part of the programming for Pointe-aux-Trembles' 350th anniversary and Ocean Week 2024 , in addition to being rewarded.

THE APPROACH OF
CREATION AND CITIZEN MEDIATION
The heart of the project lies in the creation of a photographic and sound series showcasing local actions in favor of the socio-ecological transition (TSÉ). It aims to mobilize local TSÉ actors from the Communauté des possibles de La Pointe de l'Île around an emerging common vision.
The local and participatory creative process of artist Alex Côté tells the story, in a multidisciplinary artistic and documentary approach, of the interdependence of various local actions through the lens of community development, local industries, mobility and urban agriculture, to name a few.
Led by the Idylle organization, the initiative is carried out in collaboration with the CDC de la Pointe and the support of the citizen organization Solon. It involves close collaboration between various stakeholders in the Pointe-aux-Trembles and Montreal-East districts, including citizens, artists, entrepreneurs and industries.
